Shelley Beach in KwaZulu Natal offers much to tourists

When visiting the KwaZulu Natal South Coast area, it is a good idea to stay in a central place such as Shelley Beach, nestled between Margate and Port Shepstone.  About 128,6 km away from Durban, its central location makes it very easy to access other coastal towns in the area.  Shelley Beach is popular among scuba divers. Shelley Beach is a rather small town that has grown over the years and now caters for tourists in a way which will make the stay memorable.  It is known as Shelley Beach, because of the numerous shells that can be found on the beach just after high tide.  Another attraction is the "Blue Flag" status of its beach which is also prot ected by shark nets and patrolled by lifeguards during peak times.  Its 1500 metres long reef, also makes it very popular with scuba divers.  The luke warm sea water, the result of its warm subtropical climate, also makes Shelley Beach a popular tourist destinatio
